Greenbelt Journals – Terms of Service

1. About Greenbelt Journals

We're a Texas‑based, single‑member LLC that makes on‑demand, fully customized paper journals. Because each journal is produced specifically for you, different rules apply compared with mass‑manufactured goods (see §5).

2. Eligibility & Account Security

• You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to place an order.
• You promise that all information you give us—shipping address, text to be printed, payment details—is accurate and not misleading.

3. Orders & Contract Formation

1. Order Confirmation. After checkout, we email an order confirmation that summarizes your customization choices, total charge, and expected ship window.
2. 24‑Hour Editing Window. Because every journal is printed just for you, you may cancel or modify the order once within 24 hours of that confirmation email for a full refund (§5.1).
3. Acceptance. A binding sales contract forms once the 24‑hour window expires or when we start production—whichever happens first. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order (e.g., suspected fraud, offensive content, or legal issues).

4. Content You Provide

• License. You grant us a non‑exclusive, worldwide license to reproduce the text, images, or other content you submit solely for producing your journal and providing customer support.
• Prohibited Content. You agree not to submit anything that:
  1. infringes third‑party intellectual‑property rights;
  2. is defamatory, obscene, or illegal; or
  3. contains personal data you have no right to share.

We may refuse or remove any such material at our discretion.

5. Production, Shipping, Returns

5.1 Cancellations & Changes

• Email support@greenbeltjournals.com within 24 hours to cancel and order for a full refund. After that, production starts and the order becomes non‑cancelable.

5.2 Shipping

• We ship to U.S. addresses. Estimated delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees. Risk of loss passes to you when the carrier marks the package "delivered."

5.3 Defects & Reprints

• If your journal arrives mis‑printed, damaged, or with workmanship defects, email support@greenbeltjournals.com within 14 days of delivery. Include photos. We'll either (a) reprint at no cost or (b) refund the purchase price, at our option. Normal wear‑and‑tear or mistakes in the text you submitted after the 24‑hour window aren't defects.

6. Pricing & Payment

Prices and promotions are listed in U.S. dollars and may change without notice before you place an order. We accept payment via Stripe and charge your card at checkout. Taxes are calculated automatically based on your shipping address.

7. Intellectual Property

All Site content—logos, templates, product photos, and code—is owned by Greenbelt or its licensors and protected by U.S. and international IP laws. You may not copy or reuse those materials without our prior written permission.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Except for the express reprint/refund obligation in §5.3, the Site and products are provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non‑infringement to the maximum extent permitted by law.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed, Greenbelt won't be liable for (a) indirect, incidental, or consequential damages or (b) any amount exceeding the price you actually paid for the journal giving rise to the claim.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Greenbelt from any third‑party claims arising out of content you supplied or your breach of these Terms.

11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict‑of‑law principles. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas, and you consent to those courts' personal jurisdiction.

(Optional: Add an arbitration clause or small‑claims‑only language if you prefer alternative dispute resolution.)

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date and post the revised Terms on the Site. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
